Accommodation options for our Matariki course in Te Horo, Kāpiti

The July astronomy course is taking place at the beautiful Arcus Events Centre in Te Horo.

The course dates coincide with the Matariki Māoriland Festival in Ōtaki so local accommodation options will book out at this time of year.

You may be a Kāpiti Coast local, in which case you can choose to commute to the Arcus Events Venue in Te Horo each day. Bear in mind, though on evenings, when we are observing the night sky, we won’t finish up until 10.30pm.

If you are coming from Wellington or Horowhenua, you will want to stay close to the venue for convenience. We recommend that you book accommodation in Te Horo, Ōtaki or Waikanae for the Friday and Saturday nights.

A quick Google search on ‘accommodation Te Horo’ or ‘accommodation Ōtaki’ or ‘accommodation Waikanae’ will give you plenty of great options on AirBnB.com, Booking.com and other similar websites.

We recommend Ōtaki’s newest accommodation, Littel Ōtaki.
